The Project
This kitchen-dining transformation within a duplex penthouse in Swieqi, Malta marries Nordic design principles with Malta’s rich artisanal heritage to create a space worthy of both daily rituals and grand entertaining.
At its heart stands a modernist green island that anchors the Scandinavian-inspired kitchen, whilst underfoot, traditional Maltese cement tiles in earthy tones root the space in local character. The design seamlessly flows from cooking to dining areas, intentionally unified by details that combine craftsmanship with international appeal.
Art deco influences add unexpected elegance, creating a kitchen that serves as both the functional heart of the home and a showcase of design mastery in a fusion of contemporary European aesthetics and Mediterranean warmth.
